Spring needs to be Sprung!

Allison had a wonderful list of 25 Things she is Craving about Spring.  I decided to list my own.  Though Spring could be a long way off for those here in the Great White North*, that doesn’t mean I am not incredibly ready for it.  So here is my Spring list-o-fantasies…

Wearing my tevas

Sprouting seedlings

Lilac bushes

Thunderstorms

Long evenings

Rolling the windows down

The sound of lawnmowers

Fresh vegetables

Ladybugs

Bird babies popping out of their nests

Baby eagles screaming for their mother to bring them food (yes, for real)

Mountain drives/hikes with the sound of melting snow

Flowers

Barbeques

Camping

The first tomato blossom

Baby chickens

National Park trips

Rivers running high

Riding my bike around town

Iced coffee

Company picnics

Playing outside with the kids

Sleeping with the windows open

Enjoying coffee on the front porch every morning

* Spring generally starts here at the end of April…sometimes the end of May…last year it actually didn’t start until about June 5th.

March is pretty fickle here in New Hamshire’s midsection. Spring teases us a few times before coming to stay.

I wonder if you’ll see (and photograph) your older lady friends on your bike rides this year 🙂

We’ve had a few days of spring-like weather here in the middle Atlantic states. I hope it continues and that your spring isn’t too far behind.
