I quit my job today

No, really!  I did.  I’ve never quit a job before.  I guess that I did quit my grocery bagging job when I was 17, but somehow it didn’t seem as monumental a thing.  This is the only job I’ve had since I got out of the military.  I’ve been there 8 years, which is an eternity in the IT industry.

I feel pretty good about it.

Congratulations on escaping! Hopefully your first year out will be like mine: pleasant with frequent surprises by managers who have experience with the term “leadership” beyond what is displayed on a PowerPoint slide at a monthly team meeting.

You quit? As in you walked in, threw your keys down, yelled you quit, and stormed out?

    Come on! Dish!

    I would give you 2 kudos, but that’s a different site. 😉
